Blog Roll and Asia Travel Resources
The web is bursting with resources for you to plan your Asia trip and learn about the region. The problem with the web is that it’s so infinitely packed with information that the good stuff can be hard to find. That’s why some of the best resources are laid out for your right here. Please add a comment if you think there are some great Asia resources you’d like to see on these lists.
BreatheDreamGo – This site is a great, comprehensive guide to India. Mariellen Ward, the writer, has been traveling in India for over a year and her passion for the country definitely shows in her colorful and interesting blog. (Twitter: @breathedreamgo)
Eating Asia – A beautiful blog focused solely on Asian food and drink. Good information and mouth-watering pictures.
CNNGo – Covers a wide range of topics, mostly focusing on urban centers like Singapore, Tokyo, Bangkok and Shanghai. You’ll find beautiful pictures, intriguing stories and information on budget and luxury Asia travel. (Twitter: @CNNGo)

General Travel Resources
Trail of Ants Travel Blog – Ant’s blog is packed with writing, tips, resources and ideas for your own round-the-world saunter. There’s also great information on Ant’s sleekly designed site in regards to Visas, especially focused on a number of Asian countries like Singapore, India, Sri Lanka and beyond. (Twitter: @TrailofAnts)
Nomadic Matt – Perhaps one of the most famous travel blogs, Matt covers travel in Asia and all over the world. Nomadic Matt also offers great information for those vying to start their own travel blog. (Twitter: @NomadicMatt)
Almost Fearless – Another very famous travel blog full of inspiration to kick your boring job and hit the road with nothing but a backpack (and in Christine’s case, a baby too). (Twitter: @AlmostFearless)
No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain – Bourdain is a travel hero and a consistent bad ass. He travels all around the world with his show, but has some amazing Asia-related episodes that will make you want to drop everything and buy a one-way ticket to Asia immediately. Check out his Vietnam, Tokyo, Singapore and India episodes. (Twitter: @NoReservations)
Globe Trekker – Globe Trekker is both a breath of fresh air in the travel TV show world. The hosts are fun and engaging and the locations are explored in new and different ways compared with other shows I’ve seen.

Some great authors to check out include Pico Iyer, Rohinton Mistry, Nicholas Kristof and Arundhati Roy.
